Viewed Bay City from the Top of City Hall.

Can’t see how this Month can get any better unless your School calls me now for an end of year Science show, there are a few slots remaining before Summer!

STEM Festival Dates announced (Schools Sept. 25th, Public Sept 26th Saturday)

Dow Great Lakes Bay Regional DSC_0224STEM Festival event held during the past two falls has become a high demand event and we’ve been asked to do it AGAIN this fall!  Dow Chemical will again be our naming sponsor.  The planning is still in the preliminary stages, but save the dates for Friday, September 25, and Saturday, September 26.  We hosted the event that weekend last year and the weather was perfect for it!  Friday will be closed to the public as area middle schools will register groups to attend.  Saturday will be free and open to the public of all ages.

Floyd Elem. School Show 3-19-15 “Solids Liquids, What a Gas!”

3-19-15 Thursday Night DoctorSlime will be traveling to Floyd Elementary School to Present a STEM readiness program entitled “Solids, Liquids, what a Gas!” There he will be challenging the students to put on their thinking caps, to apply the Scientific Method, and try their Hypothesis to see if it sticks. “it’s all about the discovery process of science” quips Doctorslime, “students need to understand their is no right or wrong to a hypothesis; only the act of proving or disproving it, so the whole process is learning, and finding out more information along the way.”  “it’s a judgment free zone, its all about the observations, and the data leading to newly shaped conclusions, that change along the way!” Oh Yeah and a whole Lot of Fun Too!

3-04-15 Working with Youtube.com Artist to help produce STEM Video.

Having fun collaborating on a Youtube project with video artist BunsenBurns, his camera guy, and a faculty member Bernadette Harkness of Delta College to produce, and collaborate with these students on their project.  These student have mad video production skills, with our assistance we should be seeing some great video’s soon.  Check out BunsenBurns on YouTUBE.com for all the videos as they are polished and published.  DoctorSlime
